The department prides itself on our community partnerships, proactive crime prevention, community education, and effective police work. Our officers work closely with residents to identify and address problems affecting public safety and everyday quality of life.

Join a department dedicated to public outreach and connecting with our local community.  LHPD officers have opportunities to engage with the community through a variety of programs including special events such as National Night Out, Shop-With-A-Cop, our Citizens' Police Academy, Open House event, and Community Emergency Response Team just to name a few.
